The Unveiling of the NC ECHO Website at High Point, April 4, 2001

The North Carolina ECHO website was unveiled to the public April 4, 2001 in High Point, by the Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, Lisbeth Evans. The event was attended by over one hundred people from cultural institutions all over the state.

The Flash Presentation

The unveiling included a flash presentation, which can be seen by clicking the link below. Before running the flash presentation, please read the following information:

  • The file is over 4 megabytes in size, so it may take a while to download.
  • You will need the flash program installed on your hard drive in order to see the presentation, and
  • You will need a sound card to hear the accompanying music.
  • The presentation is optimized for an 800 x 600 pixel display. If you have a smaller screen and you are using Internet Explorer, press F11 for a full screen display. After the show, press F11 again to return to normal view. Unfortunately, Netscape has no such option.

Instructions for running the presentation:

  • After clicking below to start the presentation, click on the "E" of the ECHO logo to begin the show.
  • Enjoy the show.
  • After the show ends, the logo will appear again, this time with a grayish oval underneath. Click on the oval to end the show and go to the NC ECHO web site.
